Introduction

Welcome to Mockolab, operated by Birey Ventures LLC ("we," "us," "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of our AI-powered mock interview simulator ("Service"). By accessing or using Mockolab, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Service description

Mockolab is a free AI-powered mock interview simulator that helps candidates prepare for job interviews. The Service allows you to upload a CV, paste a job description, and engage in a realistic mock interview with an AI interviewer. After the interview, you receive a detailed scorecard with strengths, red flags, and actionable coaching advice.

The service

Mockolab is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

Your content

You are responsible for the CV and job description you submit. You confirm you have the right to share this content and that it does not violate any third-party rights. Your CV is sent directly to the AI model for processing and never stored. You retain full ownership of all content you provide.

Privacy and data

Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We are committed to a privacy-first approach: your CV is sent to the AI model and the file buffer is zeroed immediately after, interview messages are never persisted, and only minimal session metadata is retained.

AI processing

By using Mockolab, you consent to AI processing of your CV, job description, and — if you choose voice input — your microphone audio to generate interview questions, conduct a mock interview, and produce an evaluation scorecard. Voice audio is streamed directly from your browser to Deepgram for real-time transcription and is not stored. AI-generated feedback, scores, and hiring decisions are advisory in nature and do not constitute actual hiring outcomes or professional career advice. You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating all AI-generated content before acting on it.

Acceptable use

You may use Mockolab for lawful interview practice purposes. You may not:

• Submit false or misleading information.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits or abuse the service.
• Use the service to train competing AI models or extract training data.
• Use the service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or exploit the service.
• Upload content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights.

Intellectual property

We own all rights to Mockolab, including software, algorithms, user interface, and brand elements. Our trademarks and brand elements are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.

No guarantees

Mockolab is an interview practice tool — not a predictor of hiring outcomes. AI-generated feedback may be inaccurate or incomplete. Transcription accuracy depends on model capabilities and input quality. It is not a substitute for professional career advice. You are responsible for reviewing and evaluating any AI-generated feedback before acting on it.

Limitation of liability

Our Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mockolab and Birey Ventures LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Birey Ventures LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Service changes and termination

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Mockolab at any time, with or without notice. We may also restrict access to users who violate these Terms or abuse the Service. Rate limits (5 interviews per IP per 24 hours) are enforced to ensure fair access.

Changes to these terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top and post the revised terms on our website. Your continued use of Mockolab after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and applicable state laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. We encourage informal resolution of disputes before formal legal action.

Miscellaneous

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Birey Ventures LLC regarding your use of Mockolab and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect. You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our written consent. Our failure to enforce any provision does not waive our right to enforce it later.
